ADDISON, Ill. – State Rep. Jenn Ladisch Douglass, D-Elmhurst, is encouraging residents to take advantage of free services at a community health fair scheduled for Saturday, Oct. 21 from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Addison Township Building, located at 401 N. Addison Rd. in Addison.
“This is an opportunity to receive some basic health checks and engage area organizations that help people access the care and resources they need,” Ladisch Douglass said. “Particularly as we enter the colder months of the year when more people are likely to get sick, it’s worthwhile to do some checkups and ensure you have helpful information on hand.”
Available services at Saturday’s event include blood pressure checks, blood sugar tests, flu vaccines, information for physical fitness, medical power of attorney information and more. Participating organizations include VNA Healthcare, BlueCross Blue Shield and NAACP.
Ladisch Douglass is hosting the event in coordination with state Rep. Diane Blair-Sherlock, D-Villa Park, and state Rep. Norma Hernandez, D-Melrose Park.
