ARLINGTON HEIGHTS, Ill. – To help older adults in the community make informed decisions about their health care needs, state Rep. Mary Beth Canty, D-Arlington Heights, is partnering with Age Options and Catholic Charities of the Archdiocese of Chicago (CCAC) to host a discussion about Medicare on Thursday, Oct. 19 at the Palatine Public Library.

“As we approach the open enrollment period for Medicare, it’s absolutely critical that older adults in our community know exactly what is available to them,” Canty said. “There are so many different options and tiers of care offered from a wide range of providers that selecting the right plan can be confusing sometimes.”

Canty will be joined by representatives from CCAC, Age Options, a non-profit that connects older adults with services, Congressman Mike Quigley, and Cook County Commissioners Scott Britton, Kevin Morrison, and Maggie Trevor. The discussion will be focused on helping seniors understand what questions to ask service providers along with ensuring that they are signed up to receive care that adequately meets their needs. For more information, please reach out to Canty’s office at info.repmbc@gmail.com or 224-248-8187.
