Delgado to Join Community Organizations at a Mental Health Fair

CHICAGO – State Rep. Eva-Dina Delgado, D-Chicago, will host a Mental Health Fair Saturday, April 29 from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. at CTS Health Chicago at 2715 N. Central Ave. 

“Mental health issues affect every corner of my community, so it is important for me as a representative to connect families with the resources they need and are available to them,” Delgado said. “There are a lot of great organizations ready and willing to help, so I hope everyone is able to come out and get information on all that the 3rd District has to offer.” 

Saturday’s event will bring together Delgado’s district office, CTS Health, The Chicago Recovery Alliance, the Chicago Department of Public Health, Metropolitan Family Services, Envision Unlimited, Northwest Center, Meridian, Health Choice Illinois, Howard Brown Health and Kids Too. 

“Life can be overwhelming sometimes, and even state representatives like me feel burnt out from dropping kids off at school, driving to Springfield and doing everything we can to represent our communities,” Delgado said. “While we all have our own coping mechanisms for life’s high stress situations, it’s important that mental health services like the one at our event be connected to the communities they serve. I hope everyone can join us on Saturday and get in touch with these amazing organizations.”
