AURORA, Ill. – State Rep. Barbara Hernandez, D-Aurora, is sponsoring several events in April to foster community involvement and promote local opportunities to her constituents.
“I hope you’ll join me to beautify our natural environment, learn more about how to solve important social justice issues and take advantage of Chicago’s worldclass museums,” Hernandez said. “It’s a privilege to offer my community these opportunities, something I consider to be vital in my role a representative.”
On Saturday, April 22, from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m., at Gregory Island Park, located at 100 East Indian Trail Road in North Aurora, Hernandez is holding an Earth Day Clean Up. Trash bags, latex gloves and light refreshments will be provided for attendees. People can register at tinyurl.com/4v8fmk5e
