PEORIA, Ill. – With spring right around the corner, state Rep. Jehan Gordon-Booth, D-Peoria, will host area seniors for a free lunch, bingo, community camaraderie and more as part of her “I Spring Lunch for Our Seniors” event scheduled for Saturday, March 11 from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. at Childers Banquet and Catering Center, located at 3113 N. Dries Ln. in Peoria.
“After a long winter, it’s good to come together as a community and celebrate the days ahead,” Gordon-Booth said. “This lunch is an opportunity to show appreciation for our older adults, many of whom are leading members of our area. With fun activities planned and a chance to catch up with neighbors, I hope anyone interested is able to join.”
Space to join is still available, and interested adults who live in Gordon-Booth’s district and are age 65 or older can RSVP by calling her office at 309-681-1992 or by emailing RepJGordon@gmail.com. Food at the event will be provided by Childers Banquet and Catering Center.
