NAPERVILLE, Ill. – State Rep. Janet Yang Rohr, D-Naperville, responded to Governor J.B. Pritzker’s Budget & State of the State Address, emphasizing the need for smart fiscal and spending decisions in upcoming budget negotiations.
“Working families know well that not too long ago Illinois was in a grave financial state,” Yang Rohr said. “To improve our fiscal house, we took the important steps that resulted in record credit rating upgrades, eliminating debt across the board, and replenishing a once bone-dry rainy day fund.
“Our financial future depends on the smart decisions and targeted investments we will work through in our upcoming budget talks. My constituents can trust that I will make sure every line of that budget best serves and improves their everyday lives. I look forward to negotiating property tax relief to working families, lowering healthcare and other rising costs and bringing infrastructure investments back to our communities.”
