SPRINGFIELD, Ill. — State Rep. Jenn Ladisch Douglass, D-Elmhurst, will work to uplift small businesses, fund health care and human services priorities and improve public safety as a member of several key House committees.
“Whether I’m fighting for investments in human services or working to support small businesses, I plan to use my professional and lived experience to improve the lives of my constituents and all Illinois residents,” Ladisch Douglass said. “I look forward to using my membership on these committees to make sure my community’s voices are heard.”
As a member of the Appropriations – Health and Human Services committee, Ladisch Douglass will advocate for greater investment in Illinois’ health care system and the social services that support the most vulnerable Illinoisans. She will also use her experience as a small business owner to push for legislation that uplifts small businesses so that communities across the state can enjoy the character and economic opportunities small businesses bring. Ladisch Douglass will be a strong supporter of Illinois’ first responders and violence prevention programs as a member of the Appropriations – Public Safety committee. She will also serve on the Energy and Environment, Insurance, Judiciary – Civil, Public Utilities, and Tech Innovation and Entrepreneurship committees.
“There’s a lot of work to be done to continue moving Illinois forward, and I’m excited to let Springfield know exactly what our communities expect,” Ladisch Douglass said. “Serving on these committees gives me the chance to work with my colleagues on both sides of the aisle to support working families and make Illinois a better place for all.”
