Delgado Passes Reproductive Health Legislation

CHICAGO – State Rep. Eva-Dina Delgado, D-Chicago, helped pass legislation protecting reproductive and gender-affirming health services, pushing back against recent regression at the federal level: 

“Reproductive rights and the safety of LGBTQ+ people have been under attack recently by extremist conservative actions, and we in Illinois will not stand by and let it happen here,” Delgado said. “By ensuring that people can make fully-informed decisions about their bodies, opening up access to lifesaving HIV-prevention medication and allowing qualified, out-of-state medical professionals to work in Illinois, we are making sure that Illinois can be a regional cornerstone in the fight against extremist politicians who use vulnerable populations for their own gain.”
