Ammons Statement on the Memorial Service for late State Sen. Scott Bennett

CHAMPAIGN, Ill. – State Rep. Carol Ammons, D-Urbana, issued the following statement regarding the memorial service for Senator Scott Bennett: 

“My heart continues to break for the loss of my colleague in the State Senate. I have loved working with him throughout my career on the issues that impact the everyday lives of our constituents. While I am saddened I could not attend the memorial service for my dear friend due to my positive COVID-19 test, I am with his family, friends and community as they mourn his loss and celebrate the outstanding life that he led. I join with his family in encouraging people to donate to CU Able or the Champaign-Urbana Autism Network.”
