PEORIA, Ill. – In commemoration of 2022 World Kindness Day, state Rep. Jehan Gordon-Booth, D-Peoria, is hosting a free community screening of Black Panther: Wakanda Forever this Sunday at 1 p.m. at GQT Willow Knolls 14. Prior to the showing of the film, attendees will have a conversation about how we can collectively bring about a kinder community and instill positive values in our children.

“The first Black Panther film was an empowering picture that brought a lot of people together for a shared experience,” Gordon-Booth said. “With the sequel coming out, I thought it would be fitting to use this as an opportunity to talk about community, how we can support each other and the importance of being good role models for our children.”

Due to limited space in the theatre, free reservation tickets for Sunday’s event have all been claimed and are no longer available. The community conversation on kindness and instilling positive values in our children will take place before the film’s screening. Complimentary popcorn and drink will be provided to attendees
