PEORIA, Ill. – State Rep. Jehan Gordon-Booth, D-Peoria, will welcome experts from the Illinois Department on Aging (IDoA) and other local organizations to provide helpful information and resources for older adults at her Senior and Caregiver Expo scheduled for Thursday, Oct. 27 from 9 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. at the Greater Peoria Family YMCA located at 7000 N. Fleming Ln. in Peoria.
“It can be daunting when looking for care or other assistance, which is why we’ve brought together state and local organizations that focus on helping older adults receive the care and attention they deserve,” Gordon-Booth said. “Whether you’re an older adult looking for health resources or a family member caring for a loved one, this is an opportunity to connect and have questions answered.”
Expected participants for Thursday’s event include Molina Healthcare, Peoria Public Library, YMCA, RiverPlex Recreation and Wellness Center, Peoria County Triad and other local organizations that serve the needs of older adults.
