CHICAGO, Ill. – State Rep. Sonya M. Harper, D-Chicago, released the following statement hailing the announcement by Gov. JB Pritzker that Google will occupy the Thompson Center.
“This announcement is both welcome and exciting, both for the 6th District and Chicago. We are a developing technology hub, and Google’s move to acquire and refurbish the Thompson Center is a beneficial investment which adds to that. The state has been trying to sell the Thompson Center for a very long time and I look forward to seeing how our new neighbors enjoy their space and engage with this district.”
