CHICAGO, Ill. – State Rep. Camille Lilly (D-Chicago), is calling on residents in the community to join her in forming a local education committee to discuss education legislation priorities for the coming legislation session. She is asking people to submit their resumes to her office by June 1st of this year.

“Education is absolutely critical for the future of our community and our state. It is the key to creating opportunities in underserved areas, cracking down on crime by keeping kids on the path to a better future and preparing the next generation for a rapidly changing job market,” Lilly said. “I am privileged to live in a community that knows the value of education, and I am calling on everyone who is interested to join me in forming a committee to cover legislative priorities for the coming session.”

Local residents can submit their resumes to staterepcamilleylilly@gmail.com, or call (773) 473-7300. The deadline for submitting applications is Wednesday, June 1, 2022. Lilly’s Education Committee will address priorities for education reform in Illinois with the goal of creating legislation for the coming session.

“We all want our kids to have the best education possible,” Lilly said. “Let’s work together to create the kind of reforms that will lead us in that direction.”
