CRYSTAL LAKE, Ill. – State Rep. Suzanne Ness, D-Crystal Lake, shared the following statement:

“I have been fully vaccinated against COVID-19 and recently received my booster dose. Despite my best efforts to stay healthy, I recently tested positive for COVID-19 after learning I had been exposed and began experiencing mild symptoms. After testing positive, I notified those that I came into contact with over the past few days.

“Out of an abundance of caution I postponed my town hall meeting planned for Dec. 7.

It is clear that COVID-19 is still rampant in our communities, and we must continue to be vigilant in masking, social distancing and following other best practices.

“I strongly encourage those who are able to be vaccinated to do so. For more information on the COVID-19 vaccine or to set up a vaccination appointment, visit vaccines.gov.”
