PEORIA, Ill. – As part of her efforts to honor the service of military members, state Rep. Jehan Gordon-Booth, D-Peoria, is hosting a free veterans appreciation breakfast this Saturday, Nov. 13.
“Peoria’s veterans and their families have sacrificed greatly in order for all of us to enjoy the democratic freedoms we hold dear,” Gordon-Booth said. “To honor our local veterans and military families, I’m proud to host a free breakfast for veterans to enjoy and for us to pay tribute to their service.”
Gordon-Booth is hosting her 12th Annual Veterans Appreciation Breakfast in partnership with members of Peoria Firefighters Local 50. Gordon-Booth’s free breakfast for veterans and their family members will include pancakes, sausage, juice and coffee. Gordon-Booth and volunteers will help serve veterans and honor their sacrifices.
