Crystal Lake, Ill. – State Rep. Suzanne Ness, D-Crystal Lake, in partnership with the McHenry County Environmental Defenders and Illinois Environmental Council will host a Lunch & Learn virtual event to discuss the Climate and Equitable Jobs Act on Friday, November 19th from 12:00 p.m. to 12:45 p.m. via Zoom.

“I was proud to support the historic Climate and Equitable Jobs Act, which brought together legislators, activists and stakeholder groups to move Illinois forward on the path to environmental sustainability. said Ness. “This event will provide constituents the opportunity to learn more about the bill and ask any questions they may have about it.”

The Climate and Equitable Jobs Act is a robust piece of legislation that includes protecting the environment and public health, holding utilities accountable, expanding consumer protections and creating carbon-free jobs to support the economy. The Lunch & Learn will cover those components of the bill, as well as provide insight as to how CEJA affects the 66th District.
