NAPERVILLE, Ill. – To continue in her efforts to openly engage with area residents, state Rep. Janet Yang Rohr, D-Naperville, is hosting her monthly ‘Coffee and Conversation’ event on Saturday, Oct. 30 from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m. via Zoom.
“I always look forward to these coffee events as an opportunity to listen to my constituents’ opinions and concerns about the issues that matter to them,” said Yang Rohr. “These one-on-one informal conversations help me to better understand the needs of the 41st District and also provide an opportunity for constituents to learn more about state services and other important issues.”
Coffee and Conversation is just one of many free events and meetings that Yang Rohr uses to engage community members in the democratic process. Upcoming events include an environmental Town Hall on the Climate and Equitable Jobs Act, a district-wide Town Hall and several Citizen Advisory Panels where constituents can discuss certain legislative topics.
“The voices of our community members are a powerful influence on the legislation I introduce and sponsor,” said Yang Rohr. “Our democracy is the strongest when everyone’s voices are heard, so I highly encourage every community member to join me for a cup of coffee and a chat about the important happenings in our district and state.”
All of Yang Rohr’s events are free and open to the public. For more information on this event or any future events, or to RSVP, please contact Yang Rohr’s full-time constituent service office by calling 630-296-4157 or visiting www.repyangrohr.com
