CRYSTAL LAKE, Ill. – To help local families that struggle with diaper needs, state Rep. Suzanne Ness, D-Crystal Lake, is hosting a diaper donation drive from Oct. 11 through Oct. 17 to benefit the D300 Food Pantry in Carpentersville.

“Times are tough for so many families right now, and being able to afford a sufficient amount of diapers to keep a baby clean and healthy can be a major concern,” said Ness. “Improper use of diapers poses an immediate health risk for babies and toddlers, and oftentimes, families are turned away from quality childcare facilities if parents cannot provide their own supply of diapers, hindering parents’ ability to go to work and school.”

Ness is asking local residents to donate packages of diapers in all sizes and baby wipes. Donations can be dropped off at the following locations:

  • Rep Ness’ Constituent Service Office, 20 S. Grove St. in Carpentersville, from Monday through Friday, 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.
  • Algonquin Village Hall, 2200 Harnish Dr. in Algonquin, from Monday through Friday, 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.
  • La Alcancia, 651 IL-68 in Carpentersville, daily, 8 a.m. to 10 p.m.
  • Illinois Migrant Council, 333 Commerce Dr., Suite 800, in Crystal Lake, on Monday, Wednesday and Friday, 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.

Ness is looking forward to delivering much needed diapers to D300 Food Pantry. “I encourage all those who can to consider donating diapers during our supply drive and help local families in need,” said Ness.
