CHICAGO, Ill. – Seniors in the 35th District will have the opportunity to play free bingo throughout the month of August co-hosted by state Rep. Fran Hurley, D-Chicago, throughout the month of August.

“As we head towards the end of the summer, it’s nice to have outdoor activities where local seniors can take advantage of the nice weather,” said Hurley. “These Bingo events are a fun and free way for our seniors to meet new people, play Bingo, talk about our community, and win some prizes.”

Hurley is hosting the Monday Nights Senior Bingo in conjunction with state Sen. Bill Cunningham and Alderman Matt O’Shea. Bingo will be held August 2nd, 9th, 16th, 23rd and 30th from 5 p.m. to 6 p.m. on the lawn of Kennedy Park, located at 11320 S. Western. The event is weather permitting, free and open to the public. For more information, residents can call Hurley’s office at 773-445-8128, or email the office at RepFranHurley@gmail.com.

“I’m proud to work together with other elected officials to bring events and services to our local seniors,” said Hurley. “Our seniors have given so much to our communities, and it’s great to be able to host fun events like this for them to enjoy.”
