AURORA, Ill. – In an effort to offer opportunities to local businesses and those looking for jobs in the community, state Rep. Barbara Hernandez, D-Aurora, recently held a community job fair at the Prisco Community Center.

“We finally are overcoming the impacts of the COVID-19 pandemic. Revitalizing our economy will require numerous legislative approaches, but tackling recovery on a local level with events like this job fair is also critical,” Hernandez said. “I’m grateful to every business that made an appearance, as well as all the applicants who are eager to find employment opportunities. Each new job is another step towards making our goal of a resurgent Illinois into a reality.”

Businesses from around Aurora attended including Endiro Coffee, Decari, Fox Valley Park District, East Aurora Counseling, Paramount Theatre, River Edge Park, and the Paramount School of the Arts. These venders offered opportunities for cooks, mental health professionals, administrative assistants and sales associates.
