Moylan to Discuss Efforts to Support Veterans on Operation Honor Talk Show

DES PLAINES, Ill. – As an avid supporter and advocate for the past and present members of the United States military, state Rep. Marty Moylan, D-Des Plaines, will be joining the Operation Honor Talk Show as a guest to discuss the efforts he is undertaking to help veterans in Illinois by supporting funding for service dogs.

“As a lifelong supporter of the brave men and women who serve our country, I am extremely proud and deeply humbled to have been invited to appear on Operation Honor,” Moylan said. “There are many challenges that the veteran community faces in Illinois and the rest of the country. I am looking forward to discussing the efforts I have undertaken to help veterans, as well as the goals moving forward to better address the challenges veterans face in civilian life.”

The Operation Honor Talk Show is produced by K9s for Veterans, NFP, a non-profit organization helping to provide service dogs to veterans. The program addresses the issues that many veterans face every day, and Moylan was invited on as a guest after introducing House Bill 390, which would create a $100,000 state grant to help organizations cover the costs associated with training service dogs for veterans. The program will stream live on Monday, March 29 at noon on the K9s for Veterans Facebook page at https://www.facebook.com/K9sForVeteransnfp and will also air later in the week on CAN TV.

“K9s for Veterans is a tremendous organization that helps veterans adjust back into civilian life and cope with any trauma they may have experienced while serving our country, and I am hopeful we will be able to pass this legislation to help amazing organizations that help our veterans in need,” Moylan said. “The brave men and women of our armed forces risk and sacrifice so much for all of us, the least we can do is to make sure they have our support when they come home.”
