Yingling Highlights COVID-19 Vaccination Sign-Up Assistance Service

ROUND LAKE BEACH, Ill. – State Rep. Sam Yingling, D-Grayslake, is encouraging residents to take advantage of the Illinois Department of Public Health’s (IDPH) Vaccine Appointment Call Center, which will help residents navigate online services to make an appointment to get vaccinated.

“As the state continues its efforts to make the COVID-19 vaccine accessible to as many people as possible, it is vital that residents have assistance throughout the process,” said Yingling. “No one should be unable to receive a vaccine due to problems navigating the system, and the Vaccine Appointment Call Center is a great resource for residents who need assistance signing up for the vaccine.”

The Vaccine Appointment Call Center will be open 7 days a week from 6 A.M. to midnight to help residents sign up to get their COVID-19 vaccine. Call center agents will help guide individuals to sign up online, or can set up appointment on the behalf of those without internet access. Residents will need to provide their name, address, phone number, date of birth, eligibility, and email (if available). The phone number for the Vaccine Appointment Call Center is 1-833-621-1284.

Since the start of the COVID-19 pandemic, Yingling has worked to secure relief for local residents. He supported a budget that allocated hundreds of millions of new dollars in public health funding, with much of those dollars going to COVID-19 related services. This session, Yingling has worked to provide financial support for residents by introducing legislation that will lower property taxes by increasing the maximum amount homeowners can save through various property tax exemptions.

“To recover from this pandemic, people need to be vaccinated, and residents must be able to financially rebuild due to the many economic problem the pandemic has caused working families,” said Yingling. “Whether it’s through legislation in Springfield or resources to share throughout the district, I am committed to helping the community move past this pandemic towards normalcy.”
