ROMEOVILLE, Ill. – With the announcement that all Illinois residents over the age of 16 will be eligible for the COVID-19 vaccine next month, state Rep. Natalie Manley, D-Joliet, is highlighting the Illinois Department of Public Health’s (IDPH) Vaccine Appointment Call Center, which will help residents navigate online services to make appointments to receive the COVID-19 vaccine.

“As we continue in our efforts to distribute the COVID-19 vaccine to as many people as possible, the last thing we need is for residents to be unable to get the vaccine because of technology issues,” said Manley. “The Vaccine Appointment Call Center will be a major help in our vaccination efforts, and I highly encourage residents to take advantage of this new resource.”

Starting April 12, Illinois residents over the age of 16 will be eligible to receive the COVID-19 vaccine. To help assist those looking to sign up for appointments to get the vaccine, the Vaccine Appointment Call Center will be open seven days a week from 6 A.M. to midnight. Agents can help guide individuals through the sign-up process or can make an appointment on behalf of callers without internet access. Residents will need to provide their name, address, phone number, date of birth, eligibility, and email if available. The number for the call center is 833-621-1284.

Throughout the COVID-19 pandemic, Manley has worked to provide support and assistance to her constituents. She backed a bill that allocated $719 million in new funding for public health, with $416 million of those funds going to COVID-19 testing and other related services. Manley has also been active in helping around her district, recently volunteering at a pop-up food bank to help those facing food insecurity due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

“With the many issues the COVID-19 pandemic has caused for our communities, it is important that we take advantage of every opportunity to provide them with relief,” said Manley. “As we continue to work towards the end of this pandemic, I will continue to work to get my constituents the resources and support they need.”
