LOMBARD – State Rep. Terra Costa Howard, D-Glen Ellyn, will host a virtual town hall meeting on Tuesday, March 23, that will bring together four of her fellow suburban legislators to talk with environmental advocates and constituents about the green future of Illinois.
“I am proud to be a sponsor of the Clean Energy Jobs Act, because it includes proactive steps to combat climate change while creating jobs for people all across Illinois,” Costa Howard said. “This town hall meeting will give our constituents an opportunity to hear about this important new legislative initiative, talk to experts in sustainability, and find out more about a wide range of issues related to our environment.”
Costa Howard will be joined by Rep. Deb Conroy, D-Villa Park; Rep. Michelle Mussman, D-Schaumburg; Rep. Kathleen Willis, D-Northlake, and Rep. Janet Yang Rohr, D-Naperville.
The town hall webinar also will include representatives from the Sierra Club, Illinois Environmental Council, SCARCE, and Faith in Place.
“There are so many people in DuPage County who care deeply about protecting our environment and making Illinois a leader in sustainability,” said Costa Howard. “This town hall will be a great opportunity to learn more about how the Clean Energy Jobs Act will reduce pollution while providing great benefits to our state economy.”
