VILLA PARK, Ill. – Recently honored with the 2021 Outstanding Commitment as an Elected Official award, state Rep. Deb Conroy, D – Villa Park, reflected on the impact of Women’s History Month with Illinois State Treasurer Michael Frerichs this week.
“Women’s History Month is a time to reflect on the countless contributions and accomplishments so many women trailblazers have forged before us,” said Conroy. “I am forever grateful for the strong leadership and diversity of women who share a steadfast commitment to strengthening our voices at tables where important decisions are made – and I continue to be inspired by my fellow female counterparts in the House where more women are serving our communities now more than ever before.”
Conroy was recognized as the Women’s History Month award winner for Outstanding Commitment as an Elected Official by the Illinois State Treasurer’s Office as part of its ongoing effort to highlight “Heritage Month Celebrations” which celebrates diversity in Illinois.
“I want to thank Treasurer Frerichs not only for his leadership on behalf of the people of Illinois, but also for his office’s unique recognition of the importance of diversity, inclusion, and giving back to our communities,” said Conroy. “I look forward to a continued partnership with Treasurer Frerichs as one that fosters greater awareness, understanding, and improving accessibility between Illinoisans and their government.”
