SPRINGFIELD, Ill. – To advocate for policies that improve the state’s finances and create equitable opportunities for all students, state Rep. Janet Yang Rohr, D-Naperville, will be serving on a variety of committees in Springfield that will help her fight for the key issues of the 41st House District.
“As someone who has worked in the financial sector for nearly 20 years, I am committed to balancing the state budget and creating meaningful financial reforms that will help our state recover from the COVID-19 crisis,” said Yang Rohr. “By developing legislation that improves Illinois’ fiscal health now, the state can provide more efficient and stronger services for generations to come.”
Yang Rohr will be serving on the following committees during the 2021-22 General Assembly: Appropriations – General Services; Elementary and Secondary Education: School Curriculum and Policies; Financial Institutions; Insurance; and Personnel and Pensions.
Along with her extensive background working in the financial sector, Yang Rohr served on the Naperville 203 school board before running for state representative. Through her committee assignments, Yang Rohr will combine her experience and knowledge to address some of the state’s most pressing concerns. She will continue to prioritize obtaining tax relief for middle-class families, protecting small businesses, and giving Illinois students access to a high-quality education.
“When I served on my local school board, I had to make decisions that prepared our students for success in and out of the classroom, and I am committed to doing that for students across Illinois,” said Yang Rohr. “Our students deserve a top-notch education, no matter where they live in our state. To build a stronger Illinois, we must start with equitable opportunities for our students.”
