LOMBARD –State Rep. Terra Costa Howard, D-Glen Ellyn, is urging residents to take part in Versiti Blood Center of Illinois’ blood drive at the First Church of Lombard this Wednesday, Jan. 13, from 1:30 p.m. to 7 p.m.
“The Village of Lombard’s blood drives are crucially important to helping us get through this pandemic,” Costa Howard said. “I am so proud of the many people in our communities who continue to donate blood throughout these difficult times.”
The drive will be held this Wednesday, Jan. 13, from 1:30 p.m. to 7 p.m. in Fellowship Hall of the First Church of Lombard, at 220 S. Main Street in Lombard.
To protect staff and donors, Versiti Blood Center is taking a number of precautions, including taking donors’ temperatures before they enter and spacing donation chairs at least six feet apart.
Donors are also being asked to sign up for appointments in advance, to reduce the number of people waiting in the donor center. To schedule an appointment, please visit https://www.villageoflombard.org/402/Blood-Drives.
