COLLINSVILLE, Ill. – To provide a COVID-safe setting for residents to voice their concerns about state and local issues, state Rep. Katie Stuart, D-Edwardsville, will be hosting a virtual “Coffee with Katie” on Monday, Jan. 18 from 12:00 to 1:00 p.m. A Zoom link will be provided upon RSVP to repkatiestuart@gmail.com.
“I value every opportunity to chat with residents about the local and state issues that are most important to them,” said Stuart. “This event also provides a chance to have a conversation about my legislative priorities for the new year and the ways we can work together to improve our community.”
Stuart hosts regular “Coffee with Katie” meetings as an opportunity for residents to talk with their representative about the issues that matter most to them. During her first of 2021, Stuart will give an update about what to expect for the new legislative session and seek feedback on priorities for the coming year. Residents are encouraged to attend the event to share their thoughts about local and state issues and get to know Stuart better.
“The best part about ‘Coffee with Katie’ is that there isn’t a set agenda, and we can discuss whichever issues are most important to the participants,” continued Stuart. “I welcome everyone’s comments and concerns about the issues and topics on their mind.”
