GURNEE, Ill. – Ahead of the General Assembly’s spring legislative session, state Rep. Joyce Mason, D-Gurnee, is encouraging constituents to share bill ideas with her.
“My legislative agenda is always focused on addressing the broad needs of my community, but I also work on measures to address specific issues that individual residents have shared with me. That’s because when I take a closer look at those problems, I often discover they are having a negative impact on a larger group of people,” Mason said. “So even if it feels like an issue only applies to you, it’s still a good idea to bring your concerns to your legislators.”
Mason is asking constituents with ideas for legislation to submit them to her office no later than Dec. 31. Bill requests may be shared with Mason’s office by calling 847-485-9986, emailing Info@RepJoyceMason.com or by using the legislation submission form at this link www.repjoycemason.com/get-involved.
“With our next legislative session right around the corner, there is no better time to reach out with an idea for a bill,” Mason said. “This spring, I look forward to the opportunity to advocate for new bills to resolve concerns residents have shared with me over the past several months, as well as to passing pieces of legislation that were put on hold due to the pandemic earlier this year.”
