ROUND LAKE BEACH, Ill. – State Rep. Sam Yingling, D-Grayslake, is urging residents to take advantage of the Illinois Department of Public Health’s (IDPH) mobile COVID-19 testing site that will be in Grayslake on Monday, Dec. 14.
“Having ample testing opportunities is very important in decreasing the spread of the virus,” said Yingling. “Especially with the recent spike in cases over the past few weeks, now is a great time to get tested and make sure you are acting as safely as possible.”
The mobile COVID-19 testing site will be held at the College of Lake County, located at 19351 West Washington Street in Grayslake from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. Testing is free and open to the public regardless of symptoms. A name and phone number are required to receive test results. Residents are encouraged to bring proof of insurance and photo identification but are not required to do so. Aside from the Grayslake mobile testing center, residents can find testing sites at 102 W. Water St in Waukegan and 2000 W. Euclid Ave in Arlington Heights, which are open 7 days a week from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. More information can be found at the IDPH website at https://dph.illinois.gov/covid19/covid-19-testing-sites.
“The first step in keeping people safe is having accurate information, including whether or not someone has the virus,” said Yingling. “With a mobile testing site coming to our community, now is a good time to get tested. I highly encourage everyone who can to get tested and help keep yourself and our community as safe as possible from this virus.”
