CHICAGO – State Rep. Delia C. Ramirez, D-Chicago, is hosting a free flu vaccine and COVID-19 testing event on Friday, Nov. 6, from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. It will take place at 1839 North Richmond Street in Chicago. For more information, call 872-206-2685 or email info@the1stward.com.
“Whether or not you have symptoms of COVID-19, testing is critical. Doing your part by getting tested will combat the spread of this disease and save lives,” Ramirez said. “Expanding testing will keep the most vulnerable members of our community safe. The same goes for flu vaccines, which help alleviate the growing pressure this pandemic is placing on emergency medical services. This event is free and open to everyone. Please join me and Alderman La Spata to help fight the spread of COVID-19.”
The event will have walk-up, bike-up and drive-through testing and vaccine services. Participants must bring a valid form of identification. COVID-19 testing will be done using nasal swabs and results should come within 4-7 days.
