CHICAGO – State Rep. Curtis J. Tarver II, D-Chicago, is highlighting career opportunities with the Chicago Transit Authority through their Second Chance program for Chicago residents who face challenges re-entering the workforce.
“The Second Chance Program gives an opportunity for employment for job seekers who may not be able to gain experience elsewhere,” said Tarver. “Returning citizens deserve to have access to quality jobs opportunities once they have successfully completed their sentencing, allowing them to have a productive, self-sufficient livelihood.”
Tarver is highlighting the Second Chance program, which provides professional services such as trainings, education, mentoring and networking opportunities to returning citizens, victims of abuse and others facing barriers pertaining to their employment. “This program gives a chance for many residents who are now in a position to take control of their situations from the past and become positive members of the community,” said Tarver. “I encourage returning citizens facing employment obstacles to take advantage of this program.”
