GURNEE, Ill. – State Rep. Joyce Mason, D-Gurnee, is highlighting the Lake County Small Business Recovery Grant Program and encouraging business owners to apply.
“While our economy has improved since the height of Illinois’ COVID-19 outbreak, many businesses are still reeling from the losses they suffered earlier this year,” Mason said. “The Lake County Small Business Recovery Grant Program is a great opportunity for businesses to recoup some of that lost revenue and get much-needed relief from the hardships caused by this crisis.”
The Lake County Small Business Recovery Grant Program, which launched on July 7, will award grants of up to $30,000 each to businesses that have experienced financial losses due to the coronavirus pandemic. Grants will help businesses cover regular operating expenses, such as rent, mortgage and utility payments. Applications to receive funding through the program will be accepted through July 20. “This grant program will put critical relief dollars back into our local businesses and economy. I strongly encourage all eligible business owners to apply,” Mason said. “I’m glad to see Lake County leaders working hard to help struggling businesses in our community, and I want to thank them for creating this important initiative.”
