ROMEOVILLE, Ill. – To help residents stay informed on their finances amid the COVID-19 pandemic, state Rep. Natalie Manley, D-Joliet, is promoting free credit reports that are now available.

“The COVID-19 crisis has put many families in a difficult position, as many residents continue to be laid off or furloughed,” said Manley. “While our families continue to navigate these uncertain times, it is critical that residents are able to access up-to-date, accurate financial information, like their credit reports and credit history to make wise financial decisions.”

In response to the negative economic impact that has been caused by the COVID-19 pandemic, Manley is promoting free, weekly credit reports to help residents access their financial records. Everyone is now eligible to receive their weekly credit report for free through Equifax, Experian and TransUnion until April 2021. For more information, please visit www.AnnualCreditReport.com.

“While so many are struggling to make ends meet, it is important to make our dollars count by spending wisely and making smart financial decisions,” continued Manley. “I encourage residents to take advantage of this free resources to review their credit history and manage their finances as we continue to navigate this uncertain time.”
