BLOOMINGDALE, Ill. – State Rep. Diane Pappas, D-Itasca, is promoting free credit reports to support families affected by the ongoing COVID-19 outbreak.

“This unprecedented health crisis has put a lot of Illinoisans out of work, and many working families are struggling to stay afloat,” said Papas. “Providing access to free credit reports will give families the financial information they need to get through these uncertain times.”

In response to the economic impact of the pandemic, Pappas is promoting free, weekly credit reports to help families access their financial records. Everyone is now eligible to obtain their weekly credit report for free through Equifax, Experian and TransUnion until April 2021. For more information, please visit: www.AnnualCreditReport.com.

“This resource will give families the ability to review their credit history, check their information for accuracy and help them manage their finances,” Pappas said. “To get our state back on track, we must work to ensure every family has the tools and information they need to access financial relief and stability.”

Residents can stay informed on developments with the COVID-19 pandemic by reviewing the State of Illinois website at www.coronavirus.illinois.gov. Pappas encourages residents who need help navigating services to contact her district office at 224-520-8838 or RepDPappas@gmail.com.
