“This pandemic has taken an incredible toll on our economy, leaving many in our community furloughed or laid off,” Walker said. “As our economy gradually reopens, I want to make sure that residents are aware of every resource available to help them find new employment.”
Get Hired Illinois, which can be accessed at https://www2.illinois.gov/GetHired/Pages/default.aspx, is a compiled database of resources to help connect jobseekers and employers. In addition to job listings, the resource website offers links to other employment-focused websites, as well as information on virtual job fairs and online training opportunities.
“If you’re a local business owner looking to hire, please make sure to check out Get Hired Illinois and post a job listing,” Walker said. “This is a valuable resource that local residents are using, and I hope it can continue to create new jobs in our community.”
