“I’m glad to see that the state continues to expand testing locations, and that we will now have one closer to our community,” Walker said. “I encourage anyone experiencing symptoms to get themselves tested if they have not already.”
The Rolling Meadows High School location, located at 2901 Central Rd. in Rolling Meadows, will be open daily from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. or until daily supplies last. It is a free service that does not require a doctor’s referral, although participants will be asked to show photo identification. For safety purposes, walk-ups will not be served. Individuals must remain in their car.
All individuals with symptoms are encouraged to seek testing. Individuals with or without COVID-19 symptoms may also get tested if they are health care workers, first responders, a correctional center employee, exposed to confirmed COVID-19 patients, are a local or state government employee, have a compromised immune system, chronic medical conditions or support critical infrastructure (such as workers at grocery stores, pharmacies, restaurants, gas stations, public utilities, factories, child care and sanitation).
“I want to thank the workers at the Rolling Meadows location and those who worked to get this drive-thru site set up,” Walker said. “Expanded testing will help us fight this terrible virus and help to protect the health of residents in our community.”
