ROUND LAKE BEACH, Ill. – As the economic tolls from the COVID-19 pandemic continue to cause financial hardship for small business owners, state Rep. Sam Yingling, D-Grayslake, is encouraging Latino business owners to complete a short survey detailing how the public health crisis has impacted their business to find ways to get relief.

“While the financial struggles caused by the COVID-19 pandemic have affected many, small business owners have been particularly impacted by this crisis,” Yingling said. “In order to find the best ways to provide relief, I am highly encouraging Latino business owners to complete a short survey on how this pandemic has affected them and their business.”

The Office of Minority Economic Empowerment (OMEE), a part of the Illinois Department of Commerce & Economic Opportunity (DCEO), is collecting feedback that includes how businesses have been impacted by COVID-19 and assistance needs. The OMEE will then evaluate each business and provide owners with potential resources to find relief. To complete the survey in English, please visit https://bit.ly/LatinxSurveyIL. “Finding ways to support those who have been hit hardest by this crisis is my top priority during the pandemic,” Yingling continued. “I applaud the OMEE for initiating this program and encourage applicable residents to take a few moments and fill this survey out.”
