“Despite undeniably dangerous conditions, our local nurses are putting themselves in harm’s way every day as they work to keep our community safe during this health crisis,” Yingling said. “I want to thank all of the nurses, first responders, and other healthcare workers fighting on the frontlines to protect our families.”
Yingling is highlighting National Nurses Week to show his support for nurses and other healthcare workers during the COVID-19 health crisis, and is urging residents to abide by the governor’s extended stay-at-home order. The extended stay-at-home order lasts until May 30, requires residents to wear face coverings in public places where maintaining social distancing guidelines of six feet is difficult, like grocery stores, and calls on residents to continue staying home as much as possible.
“We will get through this crisis thanks to the dedication and sacrifices made by our nurses and health care professionals,” Yingling continued. “The best way to support them is by continuing to follow the guidelines and precautionary measures laid out by the Governor’s office to keep more people safe.”
