“During this public health crisis, we have to remember the people among us who are most vulnerable and make sure they are healthy and adjusting to the stay-at-home order well,” Moylan said. “My office and I are working hard to help people get the resources they need. If you are experiencing symptoms you should contact a medical professional. However, if you or someone you know needs assistance or have concerns about this pandemic or other state issues, please reach out to my office and we will do all we can to help you.”
Moylan has begun making phone calls to local senior residents inquiring about their health and whether they are experiencing any issues that he or his office can assist them with during the stay-at-home order. He asks that residents join him in checking on seniors and family members, and thanks those who are taking the time to volunteer and assist others during the pandemic. If residents are interested in checking out volunteer opportunities, they are encouraged to visit www.serve.illinois.gov.
Residents with concerns about COVID-19 are encouraged to call the Illinois Department of Public Health’s hotline at 1-800-889-3931 or email DPH.SICK@ILLINOIS.GOV. To stay up to date with the state’s response to COVID-19, please visit coronavirus.illinois.gov.
