ARLINGTON HEIGHTS, Ill. – State Rep. Mark Walker, D-Arlington Heights, is encouraging small business owners to participate in a Department of Commerce and Economic Opportunity’s (DCEO) Office of Minority Economic Empowerment (OMEE) business resource webinar scheduled for Wednesday, May 20 at 2 p.m.
“With so many business-focused actions being taken on the federal, state and local levels, it can be difficult to navigate the current crisis as a business owner,” Walker said. “That’s why it’s helpful to join a DCEO webinar to have the opportunity to have your questions answered while learning about additional resources you may qualify for.”
The OMEE’s webinar will be an open conversation that discusses federal and state resources for small businesses. Local business owners who are people of color, disabled, women or veterans are invited to join and ask questions. Those interested in participating can submit questions and register at https://forms.office.com/Pages/ResponsePage.aspx?id=nwgia7qOPEaE9TFxIQ-QBVycEpn70gJNq5YHAOtDJMVUMENLWFkyV1JTSEtFTVZDT01BVzNXRThKNSQlQCN0PWcu.
“Even if you are unable to join the webinar, please know that you can reach out to my office at any time and we will work to connect you with helpful resources,” Walker said. “Let’s work together to get through this.”
