“Many people are being affected by the COVID-19 crisis are at home and may be looking for something to do that’s constructive, and completing the 2020 census would certainly accomplish that,” Moylan said. “Everyone should be filling out the census to benefit our state’s representation in congress, federal funding and more.”
The 2020 census is underway as response forms were mailed out in March. You can choose to respond online at www.2020census.gov, by phone at 844-330-2020, or by mailing your completed questionnaire to the U.S. Census Bureau National Processing Center located at 1201 E. 10th St. in Jeffersonville, IN 47132. The process takes only minutes to complete and all answers are held in strict confidentiality by law. For more information about the census visit www.2020census.gov.
“With the current public health crisis limiting our residents to their households and affecting people across the country we must continue to remember that this will pass,” Moylan said. “When this crisis subsides we will continue with our lives and the census determines a great deal of the future for our state. We should all take the time to respond and make sure our voices are heard.”
