ARLINGTON HEIGHTS, Ill. – State Rep. Mark Walker, D-Arlington Heights, is highlighting the Citizens Utility Board’s (CUB) ongoing Virtual Utility Bill Clinic which can save residents money during the stay at home order.

“It’s never a bad time to make sure you’re not paying too much for utilities,” Walker said. “But, with the stay at home order, people are working from home and using more utilities than they normally would. This Virtual Utility Bill Clinic is a great resource to keep your utility usage and costs in check.”

Consumer advocate Citizens Utility Board has experts trained in analyzing utility bills to ensure you’re not being overcharged. To participate in their virtual clinic, email a copy of your electric, natural gas or landline phone bill to Amiee Gendusa-Engligh at aenglish@citizensutilityboard.org with “attn: Virtual Utility Bill Clinic” in the subject line. You can redact your personal information but be sure to include the account holder’s name and where you would like your analysis to be sent. CUB can also tell consumers about money-saving programs and guide them to free energy-efficiency products and programs.

“CUB has helped thousands of Illinoisans save money,” Walker said. “Now is a great time to make sure you’re not paying too much. If you’d like more information on this program, visit www.citizensutilityboard.org.”
