“My staff and I are working around the clock as we work with state and local officials, community leaders and healthcare providers, and not-for-profit organizations in our community who are all working together to fight this pandemic,” said Edly-Allen. “My staff and I are working safely from home to do our part to flatten the curve, but during this time we remain fully accessible by phone, email or even video conferencing. Any resident interested in speaking with our office can continue to access us by phone or email.”
Gov. Pritzker announced a stay at home order for the entire state effective until April 7. The stay at home order requires the closure all non-essential businesses and for residents to leave their homes only for necessary trips, such as to go to the grocery store, pharmacy, doctor’s office, to care for a loved one and other essential tasks. Edly-Allen is sharing up-to-date COVID-19 information from the state on her Facebook page accessible at Facebook.com/RepEdlyAllen and through her e-newsletter. “My top priority is keeping our families safe, especially our elderly and medically vulnerable neighbors,” said Edly-Allen. “If there is any way we can assist you or your family in the coming weeks on any state-related issue including those relating to COVID-19, please do not hesitate to contact me. We are here to help.”
