AURORA, Ill. – State Rep. Stephanie Kifowit, D-Oswego, is inviting residents to her quarterly Lunch and Learn event on caring for the aging brain on Wednesday, March 11 from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Oswego Library – Montgomery Branch, located at 1111 Reading Dr. in Montgomery.

“I’m excited for the opportunity to bring medical professionals to speak with all of us, regardless of our age, about ways we can care for our brain. Our brain is just like our muscles, it needs exercise to improve,” said Kifowit. “Our quarterly Lunch and Learn events always provide an in-depth seminar with great information and resources for attendees to use and enjoy.”

Kifowit will be joined by Deborah Brunelle, RN, Manager of Neuroscience Services at Rush Copley Hospital to discuss what happens to the brain as people age and tips to help with memory. The event is free and open to the public. A complimentary light lunch will be provided for attendees along with refreshments.

“I encourage anyone, even people my age, who have questions or would like to learn more about how they can improve their brain functioning to stop by our event on Wednesday, March 11,” said Kifowit. “Seating will be limited, so please RSVP ahead of time to guarantee yourself a spot during the presentation.”

For more information about the event or to RSVP, please contact Kifowit’s full-time constituent office at 630-585-1308 or email RSVP@ILDistrict84.com.
