SPRINGFIELD, Ill. – As a part of his continued commitment to make sure Southern Illinois voices are heard in the state Capitol, state Rep. Nathan Reitz, D-Steeleville, invited Pastor Dr. Michael Fogerson of Chester to deliver the House invocation on Tuesday.
“Each session day is started with a prayer to give lawmakers an opportunity to reflect before debating the important issues facing the state of Illinois,” said Reitz. “The decisions made in Springfield impact families in Southern Illinois and throughout the entire state, so it is important that lawmakers begin each session day with a clear mind and sincere heart as they make tough decisions to get our state back on the right track.”
Dr. Fogerson is the Pastor of First Baptist Church in Chester.
