SPRINGFIELD, Ill. – State Rep. Diane Pappas, D-Itasca, released the following statement in response to Gov. J.B. Pritzker’s budget address to the General Assembly on Wednesday:
“Over the coming session, I will continue to work to build a stronger Illinois by paying down old bills to fund crucial services, repaying pensions in full so hard-working Illinoisans can reap the benefits of their careers and provide property tax relief to homeowners in our community.
“Our bipartisan balanced budget will be the foundation for a thriving economy with more good-paying job opportunities and practical education options while funding crucial social programs for our most vulnerable citizens.”
“I am committed to representing the priorities of my community and I will remain focused on working for our goals and values during my time as your representative in Springfield.”
