Mayfield Calls for Property Tax Relief, Job Opportunities Following Governor’s Budget Address

WAUKEGAN, Ill. – State Rep. Rita Mayfield, D-Waukegan, released the following statement in response to Gov. J.B. Pritzker’s budget address on Wednesday:

“I’m committed to working for the priorities of our community. That’s why my focus is on passing a balanced budget that invests in critical services for seniors, job training, and education, while living within our means. We need to focus on lowering the property tax burden, creating more vocational education opportunities, and protecting access to health care.

“There is a lot of work to be done, and I look forward to working with Governor Pritzker and my fellow legislators to keep Illinois moving forward.”
