CHICAGO – To provide an opportunity for community members to learn more about his introduced legislation and priorities for 2020, state Rep. Curtis J. Tarver II, D-Chicago, will be hosting “Let’s Talk Legislation” on Monday, March 9 from 6 p.m. to 7 p.m. at his district office.

“I want to invite members of the community to my office to hear more about what legislation I am sponsoring in the Illinois House of Representatives and what some of my top priorities are in the legislature now that we are in a new year,” said Tarver. “This gives residents the opportunity to learn more about the bills that I have recently filed and what their impact will be in both our community and across the state.”

Tarver will be hosting the informational event at his district office, located at 1303 E. 53rd St. in Chicago. Residents will also have the chance to learn more about the constituent services provided by Tarver’s office, including access to programs and state services. This event is free and open to any member of the public.

“My priorities remain making sure that we are investing in our schools, reforming the criminal justice system, and growing our local economy,” said Tarver. “I want to make sure that every person has the opportunity to understand the legislation that I’m working on in Springfield and how many pieces of legislation can help improve the lives of families on the South Side.”
