DES PLAINES, Ill. – Looking to expand educational opportunities, state Rep. Marty Moylan, D-Des Plaines, and state Sen. Laura Murphy, D-Des Plaines, recently hosted a Museums in the Park registration session that gave local residents an opportunity to access local museums with their families for free.
“We were delighted to promote this fantastic program which many residents are not aware is available to them,” Moylan said. “I have fond memories of visiting our area’s great museums as a kid, and I hope some new memories will be created as a result of this event.”
Museums in the Park is a coalition of Chicagoland institutions in association with the Chicago Park District. This organization offers local officials constituent education resource cards which these officials can delegate to individuals. The cards allow an individual and up to three guests to complimentary general admission to one of Chicagoland’s institutions of history, science, art, nature and culture.
